Alison S. Ridenour, O.D.

Dr. Ridenour has extensive clinical experience in primary care, as well as ocular disease and surgical management. She joined Bergman Eye Center in 1999 and enhances the overall scope of care that the Practice offers the community.

Prior to joining the Practice, Dr. Ridenour provided primary care examinations, surgical co-management and ocular disease treatment for the DelMar Surgical Center in Elkton, MD and the Vision Enhancement Center in Newark, DE.

Between 1995 and 1996, Dr. Ridenour was recognized with Honors for her participation with the Carty Eye Associates in Bryn Mawr, PA, The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, the Katzen Eye Group in Baltimore, and the Veterans Administration in Martinsburg, WV.

Dr. Ridenour received her Degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree, Cum Laude, from Seton Hall University, in South Orange, NJ. She completed her residency at Parris-Castoro in Bel Air, MD.

During her studies, she assisted at the College in teaching Epidemiology and Clinical Diagnostic Procedures courses. Dr. Ridenour has also been published in a number of Medical Journals over the past 10 years. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association and the Maryland Optometric Association.
