Physicians
Erik A. Bergman, M.D.
Dr. Bergman is President of Bergman Eye Associates, and Director of the Cataract Center for Excellence at the Robinwood Surgery Center. He has been practicing in the Hagerstown area since 1988 and prior to establishing his practice served as a Missionary Ophthalmologist in Swaziland, South Africa; and was on staff at the White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Paul H. Heavner, O.D.
Dr. Heavner has recently joined Bergman Eye Associates, and brings with him a vast background and skill set in laser eye surgery, as well as expertise in examinations for contact lens.

Dr. Henry recently joined Bergman Eye Associates, having recently been a Consultant to Physicians in Comprehensive Ophthalmology including cosmetic and reconstructive periocular surgery and laser skin resurfacing.

Jerzy S. Kornilow, O.D.
Dr. Kornilow has extensive clinical and research experience in specialty eye care, including Retina, Glaucoma, Neurophthalmology, Cornea and Oculoplastics. His background also included early research in healing and regrowth after laser surgery treatment.

Alison S. Ridenour, O.D.
Dr. Ridenour has extensive clinical experience in primary care, as well as ocular disease and surgical management. She joined Bergman Eye Associates and enhances the overall scope of care that the Practice offers the community.

Dr. Robin, M.D.
Dr. Robin has been dedicated to the Mid-Atlantic region for over two decades. He is a Chicago native receiving his undergraduate training at Yale University and his medical schooling at Tufts University School of Medicine. His fellowship in glaucoma was at the Wilmer Institute, Johns Hopkins University. He is a clinical professor of ophthalmology at the University of Maryland and an adjunct clinical professor for the department of veteran affairs Maryland Health Care System. He is also both an associate professor of international health at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University, and Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Institute at Johns Hopkins University. He has authored more than 150 papers that have appeared in peer-review journals and has been an invited lecturer on all continents.

Mary L. Perkins MSN, CRNP
Mary Perkins, a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, brings over 25 years of experience in the medical field to our practice. Mary received her Masters in Nursing from the University of Kentucky in 1982 and then an additional post-graduate degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Shenandoah University in 2005.
